Use Micro-credit as an alternative of Marketing/Sales Promotional Tools.
Extend Micro-credit from the budget of Advertisement and Other Marketing Expenses:

Proposal: Micro/Small Credit as a tool of Market Promotion by Business Organizations.
- Rasal H. Lia
Amount of investment in market promotional and public relation activities by large and established business organizations are obviously noteworthy. They do it to secure their market position in the long run. They invest frequently in price-off, free goods, sample, gifts, contest, sweepstakes, games, public relations etc. It’s unknown whether a business organization extends micro credit or small loan as a market promotional activity for their Products. Business organizations, manufacturers, distributors, traders in developing countries like Bangladesh being socially obliged could use effectively the concept of collateral free credit. It would be such a technique where a portion of investment by large business organizations would be used to supply micro/small credit among the poor where the loaned would work as a potential marketing force for that lender organization. It could help the business organizations to build a tie with, by developing the economic conditions, some people who could dedicate themselves to promote the market of the respective lender organizations.
The concept of micro credit has evolved from time immemorial. The term micro credit gets its importance for multidimensional contributions to the development. Micro credit is not a simple form of collateral free credit only. Because of its assorted uses and benefits it has become very important tool for the development workers. Micro credit is an effective weapon to break the social class, poverty cycle, create self-employment, Induce savings, improve socio-economic conditions of the poor, and eliminate gender discriminations and lead the society towards a secular development wherein people can enjoy freedom of choice. Though the return from collateral free micro/small credit i.e. the interest rate is alluring, big investors are not coming in this field because of small scale and transaction cost. Business organizations especially manufacturers and marketing organization could get the benefit by gaining interest income as well as achieving public relations. This could work as a substitute of their promotional activities. Many firms sponsor many cultural programs, sports and donate in education, social works etc. They do not get any direct benefit from these Investments. These investments contribute very little to the development of the conditions of the beneficiaries. If these firms keep a portion of their fund being invested in market promotion or public relations to extend credit to some relevant poor people both the lender firms and the beneficiaries would be benefited. The firms could promote their market besides the interest income and the loaned could be employed. The improvement of economic conditions of these poor groups could help to develop a customer base for the lender. It is well known that how collateral free micro/small credit helps some one be solvent. Government therefore should offer tax benefit to induce the firms extend credit to the poor.
For example, from last six months 325 educated women (most of them are graduate) have got training from Jatiyo Mohila Sangstha (JMS). JMS has been offering training on Beautification, Catering, Fashion Designing and Interior decoration. They have got enough technical knowledge to start a profitable business. They are willing to do so
some of them have already started the business success fully. They are doing business of/ working in Beauty Parlor, Fashion house, boutiques, and catering business.
But for most of the trainees, capital is the main problem to start a business. A capital of taka 20,000/-Tk.100,000/ may help a group of women to start a business with monthly return of Tk.2,000/-Tk.10,000/. Any (herbal) cosmetics company can extend credit to a group of women who can engage themselves in beauty parlor business and can campaign for the products they use in their parlor. Producers of consumer products like vegetable oil, curry etc. can come forward to sponsor small restaurant or backer’s shop. It could render all the benefits of micro/small credit. As well business organization could promote their market in addition to interest income.

Look At The People -The Buyers and Increase Their Purchasing Power:
Key to Unlock Potentials is the Key to
Development.

A promising and challenging patriot with
some luggage, some have trays with smooth wheels very easy to carry and some
have even no handle to carry, destined to reach the top floor of a 5o-storied
building. He entered the lift taking all
luggage with due care. After passing
some floors the lift started dysfunction and ultimately became visor dared. The
person was waiting and heard the
announcement that it
is totally uncertain
when and how the lift will resume working. The valiant person didn’t wait no more; he
started to stair-up. After passing some floors
he though became very tired convinced himself to win the challenge. A kind lady came out from 20th floor and forwarded the
hand of help advising the person to put some luggage which was difficult to
carry. The person became pleased and fell
in the advice. He became exhausted
and shattered, however reached
and leaned down
on the door of
the top floor.
He attempted to open the door but found the key staying in the luggage
he put in the 20th floor.
Not the
budget structure but
the proper implementation of
budget should be
ensured to unlock the
potentials of the
mass population mostly
living under the
poverty line. The
development of our country mostly
depends on the
degree to which
the huge population
are turning towards human resources and engaging in
productive activities. It is more important to focus on how the amount of
budget in each
sector is being
consumed than the
amount allocated. It is more important to monitor how the government
is loosing revenues due to corruption than the tax or duty rate. Such
follow up may
have many impacts
such as a lower
growth rate in
real estate/apartment
business, expensive schools
and education business,
gap between haves
and have-nots, terrorism, vandalism,
religious exodus but
could help the
real beneficiaries get
the benefit. The concerned
minister knows where the key is. It’s commonly observed that a duty cut alone is not
sufficient to control the price of essential consumer goods when it is
predominantly influenced by trade syndicates and unequal purchasing power of
the consumers. The decision makers
should view the
nation as a
single unit and
their endeavor should concentrate on serving the marginal
people first. All most all people are the victim of corruption and the benefits
goes to a few fraction of the society. The
decision makers should
focus on reducing discriminations and
improving the living
conditions of the poor. Speeches
from many religious leaders are frequently enjoyed. They are requested to roam
about at least once to realize the living style of their poor country men.
There are many residential hotels even
in the mid of Dhaka city
wherein the women
are being exchanged
for only tk.
200/-. Frequently the police
men are being given the blame of corruption. But it is pathetic for many
traffic constables when a rickshaw
puller or street
beggar says that
they get more
money than the
monthly salary of a
constable. Eradication of
corruption demands the
top executives be firstly saturated
by the reality. Obviously
corruption is the main obstacle on the way to development. This obstacle can
not be removed unless the key to unlock the potentials among the mass people is
regained. +++++At least they
can help the up
coming generation to be prepared as efficient and corruption averse for carrying
the loosing key. But as long
as the children
experience visible discriminations from
the door to education,
it is questionable how
the next generation
would be able
to remove the obstacle
from the way to
development.

Take Time Before The Decision, But Don't Delay To Execute.
What's The Objective Of Punishment?
A Punishment should not kill its Objectives.
Execution of a death
sentence of some
involvers should not
be a way of
avoiding the scope
of finding out the
root of a crime. A
death sentence is not
a punishment at
all for a
suicide attacker unless
he is the
key role maker. Unless an
isolated crime, the
criminal is usually expected to
know some other involvers in the
crime chain and the motivating factors inducing them engage in the crime. If
anyone agrees his involvement with a crime he knows and
can disclose, though
there is a
chance of telling
lies to involve some
innocent, the persons
involved upward and
downward of a crime. Obviously
there is a group or organization behind committing a crime unless people crime
individually for personal reasons. Death
sentence could be an exemplary punishment to discourage people engage in such cruel
activities. But, if the activists are being motivated by some sprits that they
view as their religious duty or
expression of patriotism,
it is important
to identify and prove
the sprits as
a misguided one.
If the activists
are being motivated
by merely money, the
fund providers should
be identified and
given some retribution of
the crime. If
the top of
a crime is
identified, there is a
chance of finding the
involvers as well
as their motives
which is important
for eradicating the root
of the crime. If a similar type of crime happens in
ten places at the same time, there are reasons to believe that there are at least
ten involvers. If the father of such an organized crime is detected, the
possibility of unearthing the rest tens should not be missed out. Abnormal
death may take place
for many reasons
including natural calamities,
accidents, wars, killing by
personal enemies, social
or political violence. A simple road accident or sinking of a water vessel or burning of a
factory may take many lives unexpectedly wherein carelessness may be a reason.
But when a killing takes place by
any terrorist group,
it becomes a
matter of great
concern to avoid the repetitions.
Terrorist attach as well as anti-terrorist movements are taking lives of
many innocent people worldwide. For avoiding the repetition of such
attacks the motivating
factors and the
beneficiaries should be identified
and should become
a subject matter
of justice. Killing of human beings
by human beings may contain atypical reasons. In case of a secluded killing, the
killer may have
different motives such
as to defend oneself, to snatch others property, to dominate
others, to remove obstacle from his own ways, to establish
a right or to get
money as a
profession. A terrorist group may involve
in killing to
declare their existence
for getting money and power, to
dominate rivalry, to
establish ideology, to
establish religious belief, to
create unrest, to
weaken the government
etc. The activists may involve
merely due to money or being misguided by misconception. People may
participate in killing
and become prepared
to be killed
being a warier for
his nation, for
his religion, for
his country and
are appreciated for
his performance. If the
activists of a
terrorist group are
misguided by such a
spirit polished wrongfully
by some saint like
belief, execution of a death
sentence is not enough for eradicating their activities, as long as the ways of
alluring them to make
suicide attacker is
unidentified. For the
sake of eliminating the
activities of any
terrorist group, the
questions of why
and how the activists
are becoming willing
to participate in
such cruel operations, what
are the motivating
factors; who are the fund
providers and weather there
is any connection with
political parties should
not remain unanswered.
